Veterinarian / Owner
Dr. Leigh Johnson
Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Saint Albans, WV. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from West Virginia University, and went on to graduate from veterinary school at The Ohio State University. After school, she returned to WV, and practiced both large and small animal medicine for 3 years, before making the switch to small animal exclusive. She purchased Stonecrest Animal Medical Center, and Ceredo Kenova Animal Clinic in January 2016, and feels very fortunate to have become a part of such a fantastic team! Dr. Johnson enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but has a special interest in internal medicine cases, auto-immune disorders, and chemotherapy.

In her spare time, Dr. Johnson enjoys spending time with her daughter, and their menagerie of animals. She has grown up showing Saddlebred horses, and spends much of her free time at the barn or horse shows.
Veterinarians
Dr. Stephanie Smith
Dr. Smith is from Huntington, WV. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology, and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University. Dr. Smith joined our team in November 2017, after being a licensed psychologist for 24 years. While she enjoys every aspect of veterinary medicine, she is particularly interested in the human-animal bond, client relationships, and educating clients on general healthcare of their pets.

Outside the practice, Dr. Smith enjoys spending time with her own 4 dogs, 3 cats, and 2 horses. She also enjoys traveling and hiking.
Dr. Tommi Butler
Dr. Butler is from Ironton, Ohio. She graduated with her bachelors degree from Kentucky Christian and went on to continue her veterinarian education at Lincoln Memorial University. Dr. Butler came to work for Stonecrest in April of 2023. She enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but she has special interest in chronic disease management, ophthalmology, and cariology.

Outside of work, Dr. Butler enjoys spending time with her husband, their 3 cats and 1 dog. She enjoys listening to live music and reading books on the beach.
Office Manager
Karen Robertson
Karen has been a member of the Huntington, WV community for most of her life. Karen is a familiar face for many of our clients, and has been the Stonecrest office manager since 1991. When not taking care of our clients and their pets, she enjoys her dog Ruby, as well as her 2 cats, Polly and Finn.

In her spare time, Karen enjoys gardening, reading, travel and spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Client Service Representatives
CJ Ross
CJ resides in East Lynn, WV. She has been with Stonecrest since August of 2016. Her favorite part of working at Stonecrest is building relationships with clients and their pets.
Outside of work, CJ enjoys being outdoors, riding side by sides and playing with her many animals. She also loves spending quality time with her husband, son, and daughter.
Jaycee Harless
Jaycee is from Lavalette, WV. She has been an employee of Stonecrest since May of 2020. She started with us as a veterinary assistant, but is now part of the front office team. Jaycee enjoys client and patient interactions.

Outside of work, Jaycee enjoys spending time with her little boy and her husband. She has 2 dogs, Duke, and Knox. Her dog Knox is a Huntington Police K9 member!
Veterinary Assistants
Allie Sperry
Allie is from Catlettsburg, KY, but currently resides in Huntington, WV. She has been with Stonecrest since May of 2016. Allie enjoys client-patient interactions, learning new technical skills, and the fun atmosphere at Stonecrest.
Outside of work, Allie is very involved with her church. She also enjoys spending time with her husband, her family, and her boxer, Gretchen.
Jason Osburn
Jason was born and raised in Huntington, and has been a Stonecrest employee for over 35 years! That means he began working at Stonecrest when he was only 13 years old. Jason enjoys enriching his relationships with long term clients and patients, and assisting in surgery. He also helps maintain our facility.

In his time away from work, Jason is an avid Marshall fan! He enjoys spending time with his wife, his family, and kayaking when the weather is nice.
Meredith Carper
Meredith currently lives in West Hamlin, WV. Meredith has been with Stonecrest since October of 2016. She has worked in the vet field since 2012. She enjoys working with critical care patients and doing labwork.
In Meredith’s free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors with her husband and 2 children. She has 2 dogs, Elsa and Darcy, and 1 cat, Stewart.
Ashley Hundley
Ashley lives in Wayne, WV. She came to work for Stonecrest in May of 2023. Her favorite parts of veterinary medicine include wound care management, anesthesia, and building client/patient relationships.

Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time outdoors, going to concerts and spending time with her daughter. She has two dogs, Petey and Che Che. and one cat named Margo.
Licensed Veterinarian Technician
Alison Weatherholt
Ali resides in Huntington, WV. She graduated from the Mountwest Vet Tech program in 2020. Ali has been with Stonecrest since November of 2021.

Ali enjoys riding horses, being outdoors, and spending time with her boyfriend. She has 2 dogs, Lexa and Koda and 1 cat, Titten.
Kennel Attendants
Olivia Keefer
Olivia is from Wayne, WV. She has been a kennel attendant at Stonecrest since May of 2018. Her time is devoted to providing the best care to our boarders.

Outside of work, Olivia enjoys spending time with her 3 dogs, Granger, Aiden, and Dolly. She also has 4 cats. Olivia pet sits other animals outside of work, too.
